I can't say which is the fastest but I think McClay may be the most expensive. He won't sell parts, only complete trans. Leo Glasbrenner sells parts than you can have your trans built by your own guy. I got the parts from Leo and had Ken Shawver @ Defiance Trans. build the unit. He sells an alum. drum, auto 1-2 shift and other goodies. Bob Michael.

X2 on Leo. Great guy to deal with and has a great product. He builds various gear ratios for different combos.

Aluminum drum is one of the best investments you can make (about $700) . Thomas Arnett is who I would recommend to build the trans. Leo sells most of the parts that you need and very helpful. Ron.

They all build great products... find one you can work with and who is available for questions and close by.
I use Jack Sepanek (Sepanek Trans), depenable and is at all D-1 races. Gets dirty at the track. Good luck

Robert, I bought a powerglide that was built by Sepanek. I did purchase it used but was supposed to be fresh from Sepanek and from a racer in his home town area. I dont know if someone else had been in that trans after it left Sepaneks shop. It had mismatched parts and someone had shimmed up the clearances to make it work. After a number of runs it finally tore up and ruined my convertor too boot. Needless to say I was real surprised when I took it apart and figured out why it broke. I had heard good things about Sepanek as well.
