I can only imagine how thrilling it would be to be paired with one of those while driving an SS car at a combo race. LOL

Ed we have a U/SA ford escort that runs with us at the SSSSA combo's. I have had to run him numerous times on the 1/4 and 1/8 mile. The wait is crazy long at the start and you have to lift about 4 car lengths before you get to their bumper. I have a pretty good win loss ratio on him. He is tough though. There are 2 or three other U/SA car that run with us regularly.

Hutt1,
HP rating on SVO is way high (probably for marketing reasons) and probably not workable. Turbo Coupe and Mustang are much better choices. |

Personally, I think that it would be about the worst combo that you could do in a 78 Camaro and I've raced inline 6 cylinder Chevys for an awfully long time. You can do a 2V 305 combo, which is a pretty darned good deal. You could make the car an 80 and do a 229 combo or make it an 81 and do a 267. These are all head and shoulders better than the 250.

Billy I respect what you have to say large part of why I asked the ? . Only reason I asked about this combo was I had a complete 78 Camaro with a 250 .I had given some thought about the 267 combo and running it as a U/SA but have had trouble finding the motor to build this combo

Might not love it if you were sitting in the SS car, estimating when to get on the 2 step. Did that when running crew cab doolies at local no-box et brackets before I changed to SS. That's why I won't run combo races. Saying to myself one thousand one, two thousand one, three thousand one...... LOL
