Also, since it's Pure Stock, won't they need more than just just the lift (which the Technical Specification sheet shows) since you have the run the OEM cam and can't change duration, etc.?

Yea you mite be right, try a google search of that year corvette you should be able to find all that info in gm ads and spec's sheets. I have sheets from older cars that I found on google. print out what you find and send it to Mike, that way he will see where it came from.

Pure stock has to check lift,duration and overlap and springs have to check stock pressure also at right installed height and open also

The IHRA Rule Book says:

Aftermarket Cams allowed as per horsepower claimed. Must check on or under factory specs for lift, duration, and overlap.


This sounds to me like our old stocker cam specs, back in the 80's. Most of the old cam specs were listed on the Engine Blueprint Sheets along with the checking clearances. Most of that info was removed when NHRA went with the lift only rule.

That's right IHRA pure stock has got to point to where it is same as pre 1986-87 stocker except for have to have mufflers w/headers they can't be straight thru type have to be baffled,also no additional stroke on crank can't be over stock stroke

Ok, so far no luck. If I'm reading this list correctly it was edited in 2001 so it won't have the cam specific to my 2004 model. Also, stopped by a Chevrolet garage (suggestion from Mike Baker on where to start) thinking perhaps if we found the cam in the parts section it would have specs. No such luck. Any other suggestions? From already messing with this car I think with a modest gear, converter, headers, CAI, and tune it would run a second under on DOT drag radials, still get 25mpg, and have AC, etc.

Why don't you make a call to the vette museum in Bowling Green KY. I bet there is someone there who would know the specs.
