If it is the one I am thinking of - it was originally called "Rumble Bee" - probably still was - originally out of NC - it is still around owned by a collector/racer in PA - hing he drives a CJ now.
The white Barracuda is Ray Christian's old car - here owned by Bob Stape - former manager of Keystone Dragway

Nelson Stoltz restored his old Willys - talked to him and saw the car at the HRR in Bowling Green a number of years ago.

Paul,
Nice list - but there are a few mistakes - same car listed twice, 2nd owners, not real cars and some cars were not Darts or Barracudas. I made many of the same mistakes when I started the registry. One hint since the Joe Smith photo came up - The Joe Smith car and the McBroom Motors car are the same - I have pics of both and it is Joe Smith's car not sure what happened to the Dealer Sponsorship.

Th A.J. Foyt photo is interesting because he DID run a Chrysler very briefly for Norm Nelson in USAC - Norm was from here in town and his son showed me some pics of both cars on the trailer - 65 Plymouth I beleive - this might have been the Dealer that sponsored the car???

Foyt raced a Dodge for Ray Nichols in Nascar in 1964. He won the July race at Daytona. Ford could not provide him one of their Indy engines for the 500 and temperamental as Foyt was he gave the Ford people the finger when pulling into victory lane at Indy and so no Fords for AJ for a while. They kissed and made up and he won Daytona again in 1965 in a Ford.
regards, Roland

Mark, I think Paul was referring to one of my earlier posts about the Kandi Kuda B029 '68 Hemi Barracuda which was sponsored by Northside dealership back then.

Do you remember what color or what the paint scheme looked like at the time on this '68 Hemi Dart you mentioned...

It was black and owned by two brothers who owned R&R Speed shop, one of them was named Horace I believe. They raced it in the IHRA and bracket raced it all around Alabama.

I arranged it's sale to a man in Concord NC who was buying up Chrysler factory race cars as an investment. When I visited him he had two Darts and an A990 Dodge and a bunch of aluminum body parts for 63 and 64 Max Wedge cars and a one off magnesium cross member for an AWB '65 car.

I don't know what happened to them after that.

Was his name Frank Spittle by any chance, he used to put on muscle car shootouts and reunions back then in the late 80's and 90's down there...as far as the 'black' 68 Hemi Barracuda you mention, the only one that comes to mind is Bullet Bob Reed's old car that he once owned.
