The one you refer to as the Tom Larkin car was owned by Tony Balowski from Flat Rock, Mi Tony bought it from Tom Larkins Ford in Flat Rock. It was a early car with the S coded engine heavy rods with 1/2" rod bolts and hyd lifters was prepped by Arlen Fadely and LeRoy Hinzmann was latter converted to a T engine from Ford, ran one year in stock. In 1970 was converted to a AHRA GT 1 car with light weight Tran Am sheet metal (hood, fenders, doors, bumpers, deck lid and windows. Was runner up at the AHRA Grand Nationals in Detroit driven by Ed Bennett.

Pat Mahnken of Fougler Ford (Monrovia, California)
converted his white 69' Boss 429 to a 70' model. Ran in C/Stock in 1970 with more success. pc |

Fadelys 69 Boss 302 was converted by Kar Kraft at the direction of Jacque Passino. This was not a quick and easy job as the tail light panel had to be changed, it was welded in. A Boss 29 was harder as the quarter panels were different, just wondering if Ford did it for Fougler is was a x Ford exec. Could have been they paid Stroupe to do it?

The car in the front is a 1970 model. Behind that is a 69. Local guy here runs one just for fun but it isn't stock.
