Buy Phil's Slant Six and run it as an SS/GT car...maybe get a fancy intake manifold somewhere. You could probably still run the original 7 1/4" rear end!

Or if he just wanted to burn through wheelbarrows full of money he could build a SS/GT car with a Hyper-Pack in it.

I think you have to run an 8 cylinder in the GT classes. If not you could fly with an SRT4 motor turned sideways (normal to you, sideways to me)

Just to be different Art, LOL. People think my old wagon sounds funny now, They wouldn't know what to think if it had a 4 cyl turbo screamin in the water box with smoke pouring off the front tires.

Which brings up an interesting issue. Will we see more class availability to race 6 and 4 cylinder engines in the near future, since that is the majority of the engines being produced. Imagine a Ford Ecoboost 6-cylinder for IHRA CM.

if you want to run under the modern index with a stick, the 8 3/4 will never last either. besides that all the ring gear selections you need are obsolete.
