Notice in the staging lane photo.
The white front fender of the Centolanza Brothers 1967 R/O Plymouth
Hemi Belvedere (sneaking into the picture), just behind Charlie's Dart.

Both cars were Dover Drag Strip regulars 1968 thru 1971.

Sure is real one,Chick Brignolo still owns but now painted black,he bought from Mr. Norm's brand new and still has all the paperwork!!

When it was lettered 'Play Thing".
Pretty car.
Green with those nice American Racing Wheels.

Purchased a new 1968 Hemi Barracuda SS/BA in May 1968 (2nd production run)

Wonder what happened to it.
I wonder if it was around long enough to compete at the
Stardust National Open in Las Vegas in February 1969.

Mike,

Judy Lilly was at the 1969 NHRA Winternationals in Pomona.
Her car was painted in a Sox & Martin scheme, and lettered with
Denver Plymouth Dealers on the door.
ran SS/BA.
It was re-painted later in the year, with Judy Lilly on the door and
Denver Plymouth Dealers high on the rear quarter panels.

In 1969 she posted at best of 10.52 @ 132.80.

As per the information, she got the car in August 68', spent 5 months
putting it together at a cost of $8000.

She was a Hot Rod Magazine feature article for April 1970.

$8000 ! Gezzzzz.....thats hardly enough to cover a Pro Trans and torque converter today. How times have changed.
