Default Re: Small Block Chevy Help

So here's what I'm looking at: Dart Little M block, 4.125 bore with a 4.00 stroke, 427 cu inch. I'll have a Eagle forged crank & 6" H Beam rods, will be about 10.35:1 compression w/ thje forged JE Pistons. The short block assembly was ordered today.

I am llok at going with the AFR 220cc heads, a Super Victor intake, and 950cfm QuickFuel carb.

As for the cam, I'm looking at a Erson solid roller - something at about 270-280 duration at .050, .670 lift and a 112 lobe center.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this combo would be much appreciated. The cam, card & intake are all that is undecided at this point, but I need to decide on a cam very soon.

Thank you for reading
