Are you guys really all that affected by the new cars?????
Or do you just want to right the wrongs of the world one newer car at a time??

Someone should do a poll about how many people are here, who bitch about the new cars, and:

A. Either don't run class at all, or
B. Have never even ever run up against the newer cars in class.
C. Don't even have a car
D. Actually got affected by a new car in class

While the last choice may have a few, the truth is that you were honest in the poll, 95% of you whiners are probably in the first three categories.

The difference between the newer cars coming in today, and the new cars that came in a few years back, remember any of them? LT1, etc, and ruffled your feathers, is simply the availability of this forum and the internet. You now have a bully pulpit from which to whine and complain. But the situation is no different now from then, and things got sorted out before, and will get sorted out now without all of your whining and crying and thread hijacking. Please just go and whine and cry on one of the "whine and cry and bash the new car threads."

Indy gets a bunch of new cars and you guys all go ballistic. Most races you go to have more mustangs than Drag Paks anyway, so why don't you just go play in one of the other bash a Drag Pak threads, or create a bash the CJ's thread or two, (then you can deal with Charlie Bob ) and leave this thread alone for a while.

And until you bought into this class, just who where you in the drag racing world?

I agree with Jeff Lee 100%.....

It does not matter if someone runs the class or not. We are entitled to our opinions and claiming your being attacked is like some sort of discrimination copout......Right is right and wrong is wrong....and this entire deal with these bogus cars stinks......

Drag Paks are NOT stockers and on top of that their HP numbers are a total sham. Thats my opinion as a lifelong drag racer.....and I have run Stock, SuperStock,S/ST,S/G.S/C and more....

I recognize the efforts and setbacks and tragedy you have had David.....but it just seems a little wrong when your on here asking other DragPak owners to band together to protect your HP rating.....Chrysler played these kind of games in the past as I recall......They staged their own race to determine who should "win" at Indy one year I think......Not very sportsmanlike behavior to someone who likes to see racers actually race and not play games.....

Dave

My car is coming along nicely. After reading all this about my car not being a stock class car I am looking forward to running in stock. I had thought about running super stock but with all this wineing I decided to stay a stock class car. Dont let the cry-babies get to you. They have no class! I am going ahead with the 6.1L. All the smart racers protect thier combo's. Even the ones that are making coments here.

My thought in being a part of a 5.7 Hemi Drag Pak team?.... It is what it is. Being Mopar brand loyal, we would have bought the car whether it was factored as a natural E, SS, FX or FI like IHRA. Do I think our car should be in SS or FX? Yeah, but playing with the cards that were dealt to us, Stock will be our playing field. If any changes for class show up in the future, we'll just overcome, improvise and adapt. It won't keep our Drag Pak off the track.

Posting on here is like running for political office..............ya know what I mean.

Guys, don't get your panties in a wad and just relax.
David is just getting the DPs together to discuss some things about the "FX" classes we will be competing in next year.

Junior, you would be better off buying an island in the Bahamas if you when the lottery! Of course you could have your own track to run your "new cars". LOL

Jeff, man you need a new cook book. The big TECH deal is much to do about nothing but math. David was just trying to save some DP racers from getting bounced on their cam lift because the rocker ratio is not 1.6 as advertised but more like 1.64. And before you start jumping around and tearing up your cooking books, there is only one source for rocker arms..Mopar. Dempsey found out the hard way. We just order the cams .010 short on lobe lift... and we don't need it anyway! LOL

Well thats more info than I wanted to give but I could see where this was heading... Goodnight everyone, sleep tight....err I mean sweet dreams.

So pick another car to race against the Challengers, because if you race against us with a mustang, you WILL be getting horsepower if you plan to beat us. And if you think you can push us into more horsepower without getting it yourself, then you don't know what my driver can do to pull the plug when he needs to.

Pick on the Challengers all you want now , but it wont be long until you are all crying because the mustangs own all of the lower classes with nobdy to race against them.

Why don't you convince Fezell to buy a DP. He'll show you how to get horsepower real quick.

I won't bother to say everything I am thinking right now about all of this latest whining.

But I will just say this again, as I said before, why don't you guys just leave this thread serve the purpose for which it was created, and keep all of your insults and thread hijacking to other more appropriate threads.

I guess it's bad enough that these cars make a mockery of decades of other cars. But many of us (myself included) can accept progress and change and understand the racers are not the issue.
But then you publicly get online and tell the people who can not possibly compete against these cars in a heads-up run that you are orchestrating ways of saving the HP hits which in one form or the other is typically called sand-bagging, and that you guys also need to get together and work on the specifications some more. Bad data in the books or not, it's clear your looking for even more advantages.
So the way I see it, and quite a few others I have discussed this with, you are taking your buy in to Stock Eliminator and sticking your finger in everybody else's eyes and saying "screw you, we can do this forever if we want".
Then to ad more insult to injury, you now want to dictate who may offer an opinion on the subject.

Gotta agree with Jeff here. You basically come on here a few times a week and talk about how fast you...I mean Keith Lynch is, and then get all banged up when someone dares to change subject on "your" thread even after you engage them. That's not right.
