Re: Chrome cage
Their photos of their work are pretty impressive looking. ......I was really into chrome when I built my Willys back in '84. ....Over the years I replaced most of it with powder coating, but now that I'm rebuilding it as an 8 second street car ,I'd like to get some "shiney"back on it. .........Tom

Re: Chrome cage
I think that powdercoating on intakes is illegal. If you have a carb fire it could put off hazardous gasses and you'll get fined, only if you live in Ohio and your name is Barney and drive a dragster...

Re: Chrome cage
I think that cars which were built before a certain date (not sure what that date was) are "grandfathered in" and are allowed to be chromed

Re: Chrome cage
Ryan, Call Curtis at Gale Enameling on 40 west. It is across from Adesa auction. He is doing my tranny case in a few weeks. He does awesome work and a fraction of the cost of Prokote. He has did all my powder for years.
Is Bill doing the cage? |

Re: Chrome cage
Brian, how do their prices and quality compare with Indy Powdercoating? I've always used IP and have been happy. I'm going to be having a ton of stuff needing done next year if/when I ever get my Typhoon back together.

Re: Chrome cage
JJ, Curtis has did my work for years. I know they do alot of circle track cars and their oven is long enough to do a 250" dragster. Just stop out and talk to him. he has been very competitive with anyone in town.

Re: Chrome cage
Ryan I never liked that cage when I owned that car but what a great car and I loved how that car worked and based on the year of manufacture you can have a chrome cage as long as you swear it came that way new but they will never say a word about it just keep Phil straight
