If it was not for NMRA and NMCA requiring licensing and chassis certs from NHRA I wouldnt have anything to do with them at all..... But because we race at NHRA tracks we have to follow thier BS rules and pay thier fee's, and get NOTHING in return......
I think instead of the fan guide NHRA should put a sample tube of Vassoline in thier packets.... |

I would much rather have a new rule book each year than the fan guide which looks basically the same each year with name and pictures of the champs change.
The fan guide is good for a brand new member but worthless for a long time member. Just My 2 Cents before NHRA gets it. |

If the fan guide is only for the fans why send it to the people with registered competition numbers and active race entries and grade points.
Send them the rule book. Racers use the rule book and not the fan guide and most of the fan guide is a duplication of the info in the National Dragster which we all get anyway. That was my point. I usually give my Fan Guide to some friend or relative who likes racing and is not a member of NHRA. Another point I have pointed out to NHRA several times in writing is each two years when I renew my Competition License I pay 2 years of membership fees along with the Competition License and Numbers (one check). I get two different mailings with two different cards (one Competition License one NHRA Membership) which two different groups process from my one submission. Up to a couple of years ago I would get two membership cards mailings. I suggested combine the group processing and mailing in one envelope. That saves NHRA money and time in processing. That could go to help hold down costs for the Sportsman racers. It may not be a big cost but every little bit helps. The only answer I ever received from NHRA was this is the way we do it and probably will not change. That was the verbal response from the Division Director. Just My 2 Cents |

It would also be nice if they (nhra) would make their profit off of the fan and not the sportsman racer .
But that is probably not going to change either. |
