Hey Drooze you could have, like some that have been taking shots at you, built a super comp car for about 1/6th of the money, turned a few dials, pushed a few buttons and been there. Wouldn't that be fun? Good luck with your real racecar. Maybe 1/10th the money.

That was a pretty ambitious plan. Like something our military would attempt with unlimited resourses and manpower.

You guys definately get an A+ for your efforts.

Even the odds of us actually getting a Drag Pak car were dramatically against us..... But somehow we got number 24!

So why not "dream big"? Drooze (Chris) is my son, and I hoped that I had taught him to never let disappointment drive his reality. Rather than dwell in it, use what you learn from it to build your bridge to success!

Together, we will do what we can, to do what can be done. And what can't be done; Pomona for example, will just have to wait.

But as Drooze has already done, I will now do again. It may be redundant, but it is also heartfelt!

THANKS to all who have been so helpful and encouraging.

David , Thanks for the well written and informative (first) post. Good luck this year.

Harry you must not have checked the prices on a nice competetive S/C car lately.....and one with the 2 extra buttons and dials...Button number one makes the car run 8.90 in a snowstorm and button number 2 is the one that turns on the tree reader. You only use the dial under certain conditions and I can't reveal that part of it, it's secret..........you can have a perfect run anytime you want but you save it for when you need it so you don't get caught......There is even another option where there is no driver in the car...totally remote operation from the motorhome....
Just trying to keep you up to speed on whats available in "Not Real" racecars in the modern era...

Drooze, So far only 18 paid entries for Brandenton on the 16th. ( Doug Duell is one of them.) If your car can make it, sounds like you'll get plenty of seat time.

Rich, I hope its more fun to do than it is to watch. I ran S/G for a while until all the crutches came to be. It doesn't take much power to run the 8.90 time but of course have to build a enough engine to run 6.90 so you can shutdown for a couple seconds. Doesn't seem like racing is the right term to use.
