Ritchie and Gil Shott's "Shotgun Express" AA/GD made it to one of the finals at one of the Summernationals, versus another cool name "Freight Train" twin-engined AA/GD. PC |

Late 70's,Pro-Stock racer Kenny Korestky,aka.(captain kaos) ran a 70' Road Runner ES/A (Div. 1) called "Snow Bird" Car was all white,with gold flakes,go figure??? Not sure how cool the name was,but just happen to think of it ,when I stepped outside this morning.Another beautiful day here in the north-east

A few cars from the Washington DC area that I had work in: Bob Maxey's string of "Clinton Shaker" Pontiac cars, Craig Hennige's "Whoppee Car" Anglia, Milton Jones' "Hole Shot" Camaro and Corvette, John Rowley's "Commin Out Dancin", "Still Dancin", "Last Dance", "Can't Stop Dancin" cars, Todd Macks " Big Mack Attack" funny car and dragster cars, Jerry MacNeish's "Good Vibrations" Chevelle, Ron Swann's "King fish" Cuda, Eli Patrick's "War Cat" Cougar.

A few old names form OCIR . My dad's first car was a 51 anglia Panel, he called it" Quarter Panel".
Jim and Audrey Israel- "Potent Pony"- s/g mustang Paul Wiechman- thames truck "Captn Crunch" Jim Martin- 56 nomad "Low Roller" ?? Valiant Wagon- "Prince Valiant" - beautifull car I remember a white nova that said- " me and my RC" on the side. cool thread Ryan Smith |

My Daddy ran this Duster in Super Stock started in 1976 he always had JR on the Door because that was is name.(1st) Picture.
When he sold it Mid 1990s we ran Super Rod & Quick Rod (9.90& 8.90) and the whole car had change but still had JR on it.(2nd) Picture ![]() ![]()

When I saw Jim and Audrey's name it took me back to the night we chopped the roof, We started talking about how cool it would look with the roof chopped and Audrey threatened us not to chop it, she and jim mad the mistake of going to dinner and by the time they got back your dad and I had taken I believe it was 4 inches out of the roof. When she looked at it she loved it. It then got the Candy Apple Perl Morono Blue paint job. There used to be a guy called Pink also don't remember his real name but he always ran a front engine digger of course it was painted pink. Lots of memories at OCIR.
