Default Re: Hurricane hits No Problem

The "Country Dog" and the entire Dog Pound made it through relatively well. Dog lost the paint booth at his shop to the high winds, but his house and inventory was OK.

We're just about finished cleaning the trees & limbs, and are awaiting replacement doors for our race shop. The grandstands and buildings sustained only slight damage, and the sportsbar is only waiting for the power company to turn on the juice.

Our big concrete pit area behind the tower is currently serving as a distribution terminal for emergency fuel for hospitals and FEMA contractors. We should have power back in October... The main transmission lines were knocked out across south Louisiana. Our generators are getting a good workout.

On a high note, the 120+ mph winds drove the rain up and down the drag strip. Like a huge pressure washer, the track surface and concrete wall got a great cleaning. And, all of our race cars and equipment are OK. Still not fast enough for Indy, but OK.
