i am a bracket and s/sst guy, and not to long ago i posted on here because i was having a big wheel stand problem. hiting the launch so hard that at one point i actually hit the bumper on my 79 camaro. that was enough for me. so i have installed new wheelie bars.
i got the 48 inch type they are only a few inches longer than the car. the motor now has 12 runs on it. on my first time shot back in may it had a 1.313 60 ft time.then after my wheel stand from hell, i just went out and ft brakes the car since i needed to get my licence. leaving from idle my 60 ft time was 1.320. yesterday was my first time with the wheelie bar. my 60 ft went to 1.352 but the part that has me worried is that the chaulk mark on the track was 6 ft long. i think that is to much wasted friction. but i don't know how to lessen the wheel stand without effecting the car. in the other post of mine wheel limiters were an option, and now i'm thinking shock adjustment. i have the koni 90/10 and they are set on the lowest setting. part of me thinks that maybe i should just deal with it. its normal maybe itc consitiotant. since i don';thave enough runs to really now. when i footbraked the car for the licence it went 9.61, in 1500 worst air (3300 d/a) it went 9.69 on alchol. ( i did lose 2 mph due to head wind i think 136 from 138) any help sorting this?
