I doubt it. There's no one in Stock or Super Stock that they'd hesitate to DQ. If that was a truly big deal, a much bigger deal would already have been made of it. This is a matter of time and space for everything that they've added to National events. Everyone keeps saying they want this class or that class added, and so many think that everyone should get to race at National events. How many classes have been added recently? Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Pro Modified, all the "all stars", "special events", "bonus races", and "celebrity races". That all takes time and space. Well, guess what? The classes that take the most time and require the most tech and other hassles are Stock and Super Stock. Guess who is going to get cut. As much as I hate to see people not have a place to race, NHRA National events, or even for that matter LODRS races, simply cannot make time and space for everyone. No sanctioning body or race can be everything to everyone. To even attempt it is to flirt with disaster. And that's one thing for people to remember, especially sanctioning bodies, track owners, and promoters. No one can be everything to everyone. And the more you stray from your core participants and fans, the sooner they go elsewhere, or simply quit, and many never return. Then when the new wears off of the part of the "show" you pushed the core aside for, they all leave. Your "show" is never as big again, and you never make the money you once did. Drag racing won't be the first motorsport it happens to, and it won't be the last.
