Hey Art,

Concerning whether the synthetic absorbs more heat or not, I wondered that myself. However, I know that Mopar now recommends ATF+4 synthetic for all autos, regardless of year. I think the answer may have just revealed itself.

So far so good, no leaks or complaints from my transaxle. I glued the pans on with the latest Mopar Engine & Gear Sealant (P/N 82300234). It's gray in color and tough as nails. Even synthetic oil can't weep through :^) But trying to take the pan off afterwards is a royal pain!
