I borrowed a car in Las Vegas in 05 and had to show in the 5th rnd to win the Division, while racing 3rd round (with a Bye in the 4th) the top bolt on the left rear brake caliper came out on the burnout. When backing up the caliper walked off the rotor and jambed into the wheel. I forced the car over the starting line (knowing it meant the Division for this round) fortunately going down track the caliper walked back onto the rotor and made it down the track. Was off .06 in R/T and 60' (was .068 on the tree and still tree'd my opponent) OH WELL. I am over it this year! If the tides were turned and it was the BOTTOM BOLT on the caliper we would have had a TRAGIC CRASH just like John's. It is horrible to see something like this happen to such a GREAT person and Driver. Hopefully John will be back next season to compete with all of us.
