Bad racing fuel ?????
i need help with this one . we tested fri night with our 90 mustang n/sa with some changes made pro m maf 70mm with 24lb cal and ford racing 24lbs .and no spacer between plenum . cold night and rain is on the horizon. car ran first pass with good burnout 13.1 .came back bumped timing up a little added fuel we had from last time out (2 weeks ago vp 110 oct) . diff lane not too much of a burnout car went sideways out then ran a 13.9 almost same mph @ 100 came back took timing out a little timing out added new fuel (just purchased )to top cell off car took off to staging and did a burnout then fell flat on its face when light went green .limped down track did not want to idle also would rev then die on idle set timing back went up again and died in staging . since then we put everthing back to previous setup . still wont idle also exh does not have same smell (race fuel smell) gas guy had just ran out of 110 and opened a new 55 gal for us i am pretty sure it did not have any color to it after checking everything we can the fuel is next to looked at .going to drain cell and look to see if it has the purple color and smell of 110 vp fuel . has anyone ever had this happen to them ? maybe bad 55 drum ??or am i over looking the obvious . someone also mention that the royal purple oil might have washed the cyl out and we now have low compression ?thanks any info we vcan try will be helpful heres a little info on car
