Steed & Simmons Vega

Doing some research & writing an article about the early S/G cars & was wondering if any of you veterans know what became of the old blue Steed & Simmons Vega or David Simmons. He ran S/G (big block) & S/ST (small block) with it & it was out of GA in the mid 1980's. It was at the Gators a few times also. GOOD CAR!! I beleive he went on later to race a dragster. Would really appreciate any info or feedback. Thanks alot!
