On Long Island and downstate New York , no tractor trailers or any vehicle towing a trailer are allowed in the left lane-----that leaves 2 lanes for trailers on a 3 lane Expressway so I would deeply advise if you are going to run under the limit STAY TO THE RIGHT FOR SAFETY.
