Odd or Even fire V-6

Ok, I will bring it over here, since I got it started in another thread. My Starfire is a '77, original 305/auto. I had a '75 parts car with a 231 odd-fire V-6. Am I wasting my time with the odd fire? Or look for a 77 even fire and not worry about changing the nose on the car to make it look like a 75?

I thought I would start out with the v-6 first, to have a little fun and see how things go before looking into putting the 305 back in. With the V-6, I would fall in the V/SA class and should be fun for a beginner.

Thoughts?
