Default Tech question - cool can - battery location

I want to move the battery on my 67 firebird stocker in front of the driver side front fender, and put my cool can in the place where the battery is from the factory - passenger side front fender. Will move the battery tray, etc to driver side, will mount the same etc....This makes a much cleaner install for the cool can and fuel regulator to the carb.

Is this legal?

I really do not see any "performance" advantage here, but it is moving the battery from the stock location...

Anyone done this? Tech officials, what do you think?

Where are some of you mounting your cool cans, on early Camaro and Firebirds?

Thanks all

Ken
