When will NHRA learn that you can calculate the dew point and they can determine a safe track temperature for fast cars.
Dew on the track - track temperature below 70. Hmmm - might just be unsafe to race. Instead after a crash all they can say is great safety equipment and rules insitiutued by NHRA to keep the drivers safe. Might make more sense to try some preventative measures like not running really fast cars when it is too cold and damp for safe racing. They run some very fast cars (Super Stock, COMP and yes even Stock) when it is to cold and to damp to race safely. I have seen this happen year after year. Wise up NHRA. It can be too cold and too damp for safe racing.
