Default Acceptable starter voltage drop?

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what is acceptable for voltage drop from the battery to the starter while it's cranking? I've been chasing gremlins all season and the drop in my car is 1.1 volts. I heard that anything over 0.5 volts is trouble but I'm curious if anyone's measured this?

Thanks
