i have the accusump ,it has an 12 volt electric valve that will allow oil to fill one way and not come back,the hobs switch is set at 35 psi and if oil presure drops below that point it will supply oil to the sandwich plate ,also when starting it will prime engine before started,when changing oil you can just change the oil thats in the pan and filter so you always have oil in the accusump,or if you change out the entire amount of oil ,pull the distrbutor and prime it that way,(no dry starts "ever"),its good insurance and its nice to see oil presure build before the engine is even started
