Default Re: Great Sportsmanship at LVD!

D1 does have some of the best sportsmanship in the country! The 2 teams mentioned are at the top of the list! What happened in SC? Thought they backed Al off the line? I was probably on the trailer already!

They did back Dad off the line (Super Comp round one) when the leaker in front of him (haha) dumped a bunch of water on the track. Dad noticed it while completing his burnout. When he backed up, they told him to shut it off. They also said they knew the water wasn't from Dad's car, but rather the guy who was in front of him. I guess the wife of the guy in front of Dad even ran up to tell them there was water on the track.

Then, after Dad shuts his car off, the guy in the other lane staged. Nobody told him to shut off. After sitting on his converter for quite a while, they gave him the tree and he went down the track. The communication was a little off on the starting line, so they later told the guy to come back for a rerun.

Felt bad for everyone involved, including the other guy, who only had a minimal amount of time to cool his roasted converter. Dad went on to win THAT re-run.

Just another Lebanon experience .....
