I am interested to learn about any experience with a mid-rise scissor lift.
Specifically, brand, who did you buy it from, does it fulfill your need?

I have one from Bendpak. It is pretty good for most things. Pulling a trans is a little tricky, but I can do it. Had to put 2x10's along the sides of it to get some cars on, like my race cars with full exhaust which sit pretty low. Certainly not as easy to work with as a "normal" lift, but it was all I was allowed to do in my town.

Larry , Ive had this Atlas mid rise lift in my shop at home for the race cars for about 8 years and have had no issues with it .
I cut the floor in the garage and sunk it 4" to flush for more clearance for the race cars. I made a 1/4" aluminum plate to close the opening in between. Came from Greg Smith Equipment . They have locations all over the country Looks like they have a location in Arlington . https://www.gregsmithequipment.com/A...-Mid-Rise-Lift

I know of some people that are very happy with the QuickJack unit.
They are sold by Home Depot and Costco. They also have an optional items such as pinch blocks and extensions to lift the car a few inches higher. https://www.quickjack.com/car-lift-systems.html |
