Did not want to hijack Gator thread but thinking about Xtechman's comments of golden year car entertainment. I have found the Great Race to be a blast and actually pays well if you have a driver and a math genius. (Which we are not), but really a travelling car show with competition ($50k to win). The 9 day route changes every year and quite a nice group of teams. No haters. Seem to be a waiting list now days and it will cost a team about $6500 plus hotels (most meals included) and your fuel and maintenance split by two. Budget $5k a person. We ran a 66 hemi car the 1st 2 years, cheapo Bluesmobile the next 2 and have an Ecto, FBI, and Bama Javelin cop pony car for future years. Cars must be older than 74 (changed the rule for us). You should try it and if you need a car PM me. This year Riverside Ca. to Tacoma sold out. Get on waiting list for next year. It is a HOOT. Jury still out on Lemons 24 as we are not built yet. Phish

Lemons 24 has 2 different groups, ones that just want to have fun and the group that are hard core racers. Many hardcore lemons racers run 318i BMW's and are pretty much full on race cars {$1,000 max price of car is used pretty loosely here}
Have fun |

We plan on class C, the slow cars with this Monaco Hooptie on the right. Now that 72 6 pack Challenger with a sun roof in the center ain't gettin' in!
