Just replaced the Moroso fronts on my Nova stocker as they settled over the winter...even with the motor out.

Since no one makes any type of "trick spring" for Big Chevies like my 65 Impala I am using the lightest spring that was available which is a 6 cylinder/SBC without air conditioning. I double check to make sure by checking a MOOG catalog which is available on line and measuring. I also cut off 1.5 coils which worked well in my 68 Impala I ran.
As far as ease of installation not too sure what you swapped out of that Chevelle but putting a lighter spring with cut off coils a lot easier to install. I did not even need my motor in the car to install mine, just had someone stand on crossmember. Will Lamprecht I/SA in progress. |
