Default help with converter

I have a 8" ATI in my bracket car run 1/8th mile only.
first i hear about people going up on the converter to help their reaction time, while i can go from 2000-3000 and it doesn't seem to make a difference, what does this mean.
second i have people tell me they think the converter is to tight, and other tell me that it is to loose. two winters ago the only thing i change about the car was to go from a 4.56 to a 4.33 gear and the car and the car 60 ft the same and was .04 faster in the 1/8th does this tell me anything about the converter or the car.

Default Re: help with converter

what is the combo, engine, gear, weight, trans, cam, heads, etc.. It has a lot to do with the combination as a whole as opposed to one piece of the puzzle. Suspension means a ton as far as the short times and reaction times go also.
