these are my daily drivers, other then the freightliner. the 93 Nissan 300zx has 38,000 original miles, but since i got it i have drove the wheels off it. anyway, i am currently replacing the water pump. (not so easy a job on this nightmare) while i was at it i decided to fix the bumper too. (from the curb incident the first time the wife drove it). i use the van a lot also. just wanted you to see the sticker in the rear window.lol

Kind of stretching the terms here....I don't "commute" to work...
but I can drive this every day, with 300 sunny days a year
Original 316 and Hydro

Mark, do you know anyone who still does "converters" for Dualrange Hydros?
I'm building a 324 Olds for my '49 Ford and want to keep the Hydro.

Tom, I haven't researched any of that stuff yet.
Mine works okay for now.
If the Hydro craps out , I'll probably change the engine to a 400 anyway..
Can't bolt a 350 C or 200 4 R to the early engine.. I'm sure I can build one of those for a lot less than than the Hydramatic.
After you get used to the modern transmissions , the old ones aren't that much fun..in my opinion.

My daily driver is a 2001 Monte carloe with 145000 miles. Gets 29 miles to galon on highway. I put 60000 on a year.
My wifes driver is a 2008 Corvett Convertable.
