for some strange reason the pinion support 'O' ring is leaking. is it possible to pull the support out, replace the 'O' ring and reinstall the support? it would certainly be quicker to the 5 support bolts than to have to pull the third member.
i run a 5.67 gear so the pinion is small with 6 teeth any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks rod in AZ |

Do you have a after market pinion support, Like a MW? I had a similar problem and had to RTV the spline on the pinion, where it slides into the yoke. The lube was actually coming through the spline and yoke. I had a leak and chased it for a while, and had to do it on two different center sections, both have after market pinion support/bearing

I've done it before without removing the 3rd member. You just have to turn the pinion as you push it back in the housing. Getting the tail bearing lined up can be a little tricky.
