Both, you need to spend a few extra bucks, at least you will know its right. Not an area for guess work.

That stuff on Ebay was a bunch of used parts. If you want a bunch of used crap in your race car, you wind up with nothing but used crap. Do it right the first time, get the right NEW parts from Clark, be it a Quadrajet, a Holley, or a set of valve train parts, and be done with it because its done right the first time.

Thanks guys for your responses. I just wanted to know what was special. Has anyone tried the 502 Marine rocker arms the way they are and with the 7/16ths studs?
Who has pics of the Holroyd setup?

Unless you do the mods right they will still break and or push the pushrod thru the rocker.
I would also send them to Jim Bailey at Finished, 330 858 1842 Clark's # 909 483 0311 cell 909 591 4320

I think the real question is this:
"I want to take your years of R&D, failed product testing & successful product testing. I want to copy the successful program and not allow any compensation for the inventor so I can save some money. Please send pictures and accurate diagrams where necessary. And then when I have it working, I can market the same system and undercut the competition. " Just like the Chinese! ![]()

Not kidding Plugra butter and Callebaut dark chocolate are the key ingredients. Make them golf ball sized at a min and pat them down a little to flatten them and they'll come out about 4 inches round. Cook at 375 degrees for 10 mins max. After 10 mins, you'll then have to put the whole tray into the refrig or freezer for 30 mins. They'll be too gooey if you pull them out of the oven and try to pull them off of the cookie sheet.
These particular cookies were a recipe of an old GF, that the Boston Globe/Herald had a write up on. She wasn't happy about me spreading the recipe news to anyone, but you know what they say next ![]() These are high end Cchip cookies, so no jokers that think the store bought crap cookies are good. You have to follow the recipe and you MUST cool them (frig/freezer) for 30-45 mins or you'll have a mess on hand. Adios now someone please send me a pic of Holroyd's rocker arm setup

[QUOTE=james schaechter;253389]Mark, there were some guys welding up the pushrod sides of their rockers and no one in tech had issues with that. The rocker had to stand a lot of heat in that process. The problem seemed to be that if the rocker got too brittle, it would break anyway.
Jim, I was just wondering when it became legal to weld or customize stock rockers?? When we went to Indy in '04 with the 350 Buick, I had already split a couple of rockers at the shaft hole. I wonder how long we would have lasted in teardown if I had welded a bridge piece across the top of my rockers to strengthen them up? Let's do a poll: 5 seconds 10 seconds 15 seconds
