I found some for my 505. They have been drilled in the In/Ex heli-coils for the rocker studs. have roller springs good for .750/.800 lift and just some blending. I kinda like the old skool stuff and think this will top my build. I dont have money for afr/dart..etc. what you guys think? they are fresh and ready..

Depends on the price, more than 500. save for the edelbrocks you will go faster. They are old tech for sure.

I was looking at the victors but they say you need special pistons for the spark plug to clear? also the runners are to big (340)???

If you do get the old heads be sure to use rocker studs that have longer threads on bottom on ex side they have deep threads in ex bosses helps to keep rocker boss from coming off head,I've fixed a bunch of them over the years.

I doubt the long runners are much bigger than 325cc on those heads.
I have a set of welded AFR's 074's on my 468 back up motor that flow somewhat better than a set of Dart Pro1's,but they are nowhere as strong or reliable. seats and guides dropping ,along with broken rocker bosses put most of these heads on the shelf years ago.
spend the money on a Dart or Brodix head.
something that is more properly sized for a 500" motor.

thanks for the replies, they heads have been worked over, good bowl blend and bigger valves (2.25/1.9) and where on a spitzer that ran 8.10 1/4 times. I may give them a shot for now, not much in budget...

Make sure the guides have either been pinned with set screws or replaced with stepped guides so they do not drop.
Deep interlocking valve seats are also a big plus.
My AFR heads have this done ,and I've never experienced a problem with them, however, I've had some bad experiances with others that had stock guides and seats.
