Default Stocker retainers & locks

I know some of the stocker valve springs get up to 550 lbs. open spring pressure. Are 7 degree retainers & locks working OK? or is 10 degree stuff necessary?

Thanks

We use 10 degree stuff from Comp. No failures.

I would think if I had 550#'s of spring pressure I would want the bead lock type.
That's insane by the way....

It will be bead locks.

550 lbs. is what I am working on right now, why not go as far as the rocker will let you?

New coating for cam and lifters soon to be announced. They have been tested on Stocker cams. No wear to the parts while starting new engine with race springs like yours and engine run at idle only. PM me, you'll need it!

I don't know how new it is?, the nascar engine shop I used to work for in 05 tried some coated stuff, worked on the flat lifters, not on the cam.

Jeff,

Do the cam and lifters both need to be new to use this process? Or can a previously run cam be subjected to this?
