On hold in Noble

Started with Stock @ 9:30, ran Stk, SS and Motorcycle, clouds rolled back in, wind picked up, track temp dropped, ran about 10 pair SG starter Cliff Huff suggested waiting till we got some sun back, sent the remaining SG & SS cars from the staging lanes back to the pits for now.
From the tower we can see clear sky slowly works its way to us from the west, just need some sun to put some heat in the track.

What's the scoop? There are still no qualifying sheets on DRC. Are cars going down the race track again?

DRC is getting ready to post Stk @ after 2nd session, 40 cars. DRC 'HAS" sent Q1, twice, but it's not hitting their site,,,,, it's an electronics issue in their system that they're wrking on.

What I hear, the starting line is sh?t!!! Not much they can do when the track temp is 50 degrees!! I think today is going to be a throw away day. The car literally did tire hops off the starting line. Had the "R" on the window because it should have ran a 9.68, but only managed a .96. It's a little tricky getting that heavy black beast off the line when it's too cold. Let's pray for lots of sunshine!

Mike,

Skies are pretty clear now, sun is warming up track. 2nd SS session just called to lanes. from the tower starting line is looking better with the solar heat. SG is looking MUCH better right now.

That's good to hear!! It can only get better from here. The sun is actually shining here in central Kansas now, and feels MUCH better...and warmer!!

Recovering, financially from my wedding and honeymoon in Mexico. Actually, we have tickets to see THE Kansas Jayhawks vs Oklahoma Sooners in Lawence, Ks. tomorrow. I'm gonna catch some crap for this move, but how can I pass up free tickets???

Last week sat nite at KC air temp was 35 track temp in the 40s 90% humid my old dog hooked 1.39 60s every time while others strugeled but I don,t have that much power. Tom.
