Looking for some input. Which one, what brand, and why?
Thanks.

If you JUST want either an O2 sensor OR an EGT, get the AFX O2 unit from NGK. Inexpensive, simple, accurate, and reliable. An EGT unit is hard to tune with unless you're real sharp. There's nothing WRONG with tuning by EGT, IF you have a handle on it.

No one else with an opinion? Alan, are you saying its best to have both? Looking to weld fittings in before my headers go out to get coated.
Thanks, Joe

Joe, I would go with an O2 sensor setup only. It is the only true way to see the Air/Fuel Ratio.

I'm not familiar with what's available on the market, but I will say that you'll want a wide band O2 and a heated one at that. You'll also want to avoid any exhaust leaks before the O2. A secure ground for the header will also be required. Too close to the engine and it'll burn up, too close to the end of the collector and it'll read O2 between pulses.

Send your headers to NitroPlate, the best coating there is, and the only coating done by a company that not only services sportsman racers, but they ARE sportsman racers.
