I have a 68 mustang that I bracket race and it has stock drum brakes all the way around. I am thinking about swapping over to disc brakes, looking at Wilwood and Strange.
I have heard different numbers so I'm wonder if i were to swap how much lighter are the disc how much weight can i expect to shed. |

My 68 Coup started out with drum/drum street brakes and I dumped them for Wilwood street disc/disc. Dropped around 45-50 pounds. Changed them for Strange S series drag brakes and lost about another 10. Early Mustang stocker brakes are a huge mess.

The brakes with the lowest drag in the market is TBM.
The car will roll easier when compared to other brands including Lamb and Mark Williams. https://www.tbmbrakes.com/ |

The TMB brake co. sales a rotor hone tool . Any body tried it or you just cycling out rotors ? If your rotors pass run out test & other wise look good not discolored & still smooth when your replacing your brake pads do you do anything to your rotors [ bin on the car 5 yrs now ] ? .I run M/W on 4 now , it had drums on all 4, it was alot of weight cant remember the total amount , but from what the other guys posted seams about wright .
