Cable or rod
from carb to pedal and stock or aftermarket gas pedal assembly in your S/ST car.
Photos either here or PM if you're willing to share. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Cable or rod
Advantages to both, much depends on the type of throttle stop being used.
An inline throttle stop will work as well as any under carb stop when using a cable . Most cars ,even with engine limiters still have too much engine movement to be precise using an inline stop with a rod setup. Biggest issue with a cable is space . The flimsy stock type or Lokar cables really aren't suited for the abuse of racing . I've always used Morse cables on cars I've built that utilized a cable ,but they can be a bit of a space problem under the dash of some door cars, plus using an inline stop with a cable will almost always necessitate mounting the carb backwards. With an under carb stop ,I would always build with rod linkage.
