No, the trim package (hood, spoilers, etc....) must match the engine HP combination claimed.
For example, a 1969 Camaro was available with a cowl type hood only with some engine combinations. If you run a 350 cid, 2 bbl. engine in a 1969 Camaro, you can't run the cowl induction hood. |

It's like Greenlight said. You can't run the 6pack hood with the 383. I currently run the only 383 1969 Roadrunner in NHRA Stock Eliminator in the country. Tough combination. Good luck and have fun. Derek

Not sure what type of differances there are between 69 & 1970 383 MoPar engines, but Will Kellys 70 383 Cuda runs pretty well in Div. 6.

Larry Hills Cuda A/SA runs the AAR hood. NHRA allowed that back in the day and even gave the Cuda a best engineered or appearing award. The TA hood has been allowed on Challengers since the days of Paul Rossi SS/FA 440 6 pack. The story was the factory had a shortage of shakers and put the TA hood on some of them.
