Default SS/GT question

Is there a place, in GT categories, where you could run a newer , late model FI engine, in say, for instance, an 84 Cutlass ? Just wunderin'

The factory hot rod motors - CJ, COPO, DragPak - are restricted to 08 or later bodies. Other than that I think "any engine same make as body, year optional" means just that. I've seen 55 Chevy's in GT with late model LS motors. At least on TV broadcasts of NHRA events.

Kenny
You can put any corporate engine you want in your car and run GT. You can run an earlier or later model engine as long as it is in the guide.

No truck engines. And if you use one of the 2008 up factory hot rod engines, you will run FSGT classes.

Question: with all these alphabet soup classes, how do they handle class runoffs with single cars nowadays?

Randall all single class cars run in the combo i.e. SS/MA vs GT/BA

On the flip side....

Anyone ever hear of a SS/GT racer using a '08-'16 Factory Stock body (or clone of one) and using a 2007 and older engine ?
