I have a Mullis 4 link and a Sunset 565 that makes 1039 HP should I be using tires screws. Ive been trying to solve a long standing reaction time problem.

I believe that wheel screws are the poor mans bead locks. I think anything we can do to make the tire stay connected to the wheel is helpful. However, I'm not sure about helping RTs. Can you give more info about your combo?
What class do you run? What tire pressures do you run now? If running SuperComp, what is the first number in your timer? What starting line chip are you using? What is your stop/stall? Thanks, Dan |

Another question. Is the tire moving on the rim? If not you don't need screws. The newer wheels don't seem to need screws.

Depending on your converter. .1 may not be enough time to get the car moving out of the beams before the T/S turns on. Do you use a Racepak or other data logger system?

I would think .1 would be plenty for a dragster, I had mine coming on at .05 in a door car when I had a stock type front suspension leaving at 3800.
I would get someone to video you and the car, being in a piperack you should be able to see your reaction to the tree and what the tires are doing too. Having some type of data recorder would help as well. Last edited by Dave Polichena; 03-21-2014 at 10:35 PM. Reason: spelling |
