Default Bob Michael's O/SA '62 Grand Prix?

Is that the real deal or a typo? If real...which combo...389/235? Any pics?

thanks, Brett. The 62 went 12.15@ Indy earlier in the year at the points meet and 107mph with a big (20 MPH) tailwind. Usually runs about 104. Hey Danny L.!! Thanks for the kind words. I do feel better now! We've been working on the 62 this month and hope to go .5 under even in our regular 2500 - 3000 ' air. Thanks so much guys. I appreciate all of you. Hey Marty, you're too humble! lol. Bob michael.

Dang, Bob, thats awesome performance from that combo... How much trouble is it to get the 3dueces to work that well? I hope to see you and your car someday soon... my plans are to be @ Indy points meet in 2014 with my bird. I would consider doin the '62 , if there was a Stock GT class, where i could build a later model combo for it... like a 250HP 455 or even a 400... I only have a few early parts(2 sets of '62 heads and 1 block). No intake manifold. So it wouldnt be worth it... I wanted to try the smallest 4bbl engine for the '62, probably wouldnt be easy to make good #'s with...the carb is only like 500cfm...

SS,

I think you are talking about his 77 lemans fits M,N,O/sa .. Bob, also has a 62 Grand Prix he runs in K/SA ... I don't think it fits in O/SA ??
I am sure Bob will let us know ? I think it's a mis-print on his other car, don't know about HP ratings ?

the motor in the '62 is the tri-power 389, rated at 318/348 and has been defactored to 275. I believe it has to be in a wagon to make O/SA. Ronnie Sanders and I were discussng this a while ago, and his old wagon ('61) fit in O/SA!

Bob is a great guy and one I respect. He is a pleasure to talk too. Man, the stories he has could fill a book.....

Both cars are very cool, but I'm partial to the '62!

Hey guys thanks for the interest! Previous posts are correct about the 2 cars. They don't always read the tech cards in the tower and put the last car's info on the present class. The 77 lemans can run in O/SA @ 40070 lbs. (for now) and the 62 can run in K @ 3745 lbs. Thanks Wade. Your car boggles the mind!! Bob Michael.
