Default global west front end kit

Thinkin' about goin' with the global west front bushing/balljoint kit in my '68 Bird... i know its expensive, but, i only wanna do this once. I will be replacing the springs, as well. To you guys that are running this setup, are you totally happy with it? thanks, Brent

Yes - It will help free up the front end on just about any car, however, it probably works best on newer cars that are real tight, or older cars that spent quite a bit of time in the salt and snow.

Others may chime here on the subject, however I recall a chassis builder at one time told a friend of time to replace all the front steering components from his 1968 Firebird with new steering components from a 1969 Camaro. He implied the front suspension geometries from both cars are different and the Camaro's is better for drag racing applications. As regards to the Global West pieces, they do work.

THanks for the reply... i figure if i put the best stuff in there, i wont have to do it again... and they have offset shafts for the upper a-arms... I priced some other bushings and balljoints(afco), and their kit doesnt come with shafts. THe Global kit comes out to around 200.00 more, roughly, but thats with the offset shafts. I could go with energy suspension stuff, but not sure if its gonna be as free as the GW stuff.

I'd stay away from the urethane. They need mods to work. I've torn up 2 sets myself as I did not mod them and install zerk fittings for grease.
You can still get the upper offset cross shafts from moog at any good auto parts store. last check was 55 a piece for me last year or so.
Chris.
