Talking New Demon Carburetor

This carb looks vaguely familiar but I can't quite put my finger on it. Hummmmm? Any ideas? Jim

Easily half I've torn down to rebuild the small cups that had been glued in place (very reliable way to build something) under the primary jets fallen off. They made Quadrajets look really good. LOL

Shows how much you know smarty! Those O-rings aren't GLUED, they are pressure fit once you put the top back on. Your GLUE must be from the great gas you were using! Q-Jets are cool to! Anybody can make a Holley run! Jim

Looks like a cross between a T-Quad and the old Holley three barrel !

The pieces I'm talking about won't press back in, they had white glue holding them in place. Those weren't O rings, they didn't go inside when assembled, but we're very visible. If those were O rings, they were harder than my wife's head and didn't seal worth a damn. When those fell off the well below them in the base plate would, of course, be full of fuel. Real dumb way to build a carb. If there was ever a worse design, it had to be the Ford Variable Venturi.

Btw, I love Quadrajets. Made good money rebuilding Quadrajets.

Wink Re: New Demon Carburetor

Actually Holley bought the rights to the Thermoquad from Carter several years ago. This could be the "new TQ". Just a guess. Holley had said they were going to remake the TQ but with variations. Haven't heard anything about it lately. Jim
