I use Pennzoil Type F. Usually buy a couple cases when I find it.

Been using Mopar ATF4 for a few years now. shift quality is comparable to Type F, but it holds up to high temps much better.
I just tried it since we had it at the dealership, and F was getting harder to find . Many of my customers have been using it in their cars with good results.

I'll second that. Better heat resistance, durability and wear of a synthetic fluid with a race formulation. When I took my trans in for a freshening after several years, my trans builder suggested that I keep using whatever I was using.
