el-camino ever done?
anybody ever run an el-camino in stock or SS ?? my biggest qunadry is that they probably dont hook for nothing.

I can recall one that was a 396 / manual trans way back in the late '60's. It tended to spin the tires more than others and liked to leave the line more sideways than most...
This was on 7" slicks and starting lines were asphalt....

Mark Faul has one. He has won many of races with it as well as a divisional champ in it I believe.

thats good to know, i just dont recall seeing alot of pictures of them. have a chance to pick up a 68 was thinking 396/4 speed stocker

There is a red 68-69 sm. blk. in div.6 in stock, kennedy?. Runs in the nat. open series. gsa612
