was wondering since the new rules on rods in S/S,has anyone had any luck ,or issues, with taking a GM small Journal crank down to the honda rod jnl size?Ive done it many times going from 2.100 to 2.0" but will it work on the 2" pin down to the 1.880?my concerns are "moving" the oil hole over too far, or just making the crank weak,or what?????any comments good & bad............thanks Vic Penrod

I have talked to some crank grinders(Bullet & Callies) and they cant really say yes or no on the subject...Ive also talked to one of the local grinders that says he did a 3.480 stroke big journal (2.100) down to the honda(1.880) for a dirt car 4 years ago and it is still going...I could see that working if it was offset ground to increase the stroke & maybe not be an issue on uncovering too much of the oil hole...........Vic
