Who needs gaurdrails!
this track is about 15 miles from my house, it is where my dad used to race, Onondaga Mi.
It has been closed since the late 70's, and somehow these guys are racing on sundays there. Looks like it bites real good, havent taken the fish there yet. http://www.blip.tv/file/2639551 |

Re: Who needs gaurdrails!
Looked like mostly street race strokes.Thankfully no class cars.A few left from the burnout area. There was a christmas tree and they were using a starter (guy was either very brave or very stupid). If you went off to the right side your car would get a corn stalk sanding.Interesting.

Re: Who needs gaurdrails!
So what would be worse? Hitting a guard rail or running through a bunch of grown field corn.

At least they aren't racing on the street.

Re: Who needs gaurdrails!
You guys are missing the point. Usually, once a track closes the chances of it re-opening are nearly impossible. A little time and money and the track will improve. I give these guys a lot of credit.

Liked the silver 68 Chevelle. It seems to work pretty well. It leaves like my K/Stocker.That looked like a pretty good place to have fun. A few amenities would be nice, but they're probably coming. Keep it up!!

Re: Who needs gaurdrails!
Back in either 1970 or 71 Detroit Dragway had an AHRA national event the had 4 Pro Stocks going down the track at the same time. It was quite a sight to see, wheels in the air, Pro Stockers four abreast.

I bet they all drive home at the speed limit. I bet a ride through a cornfield at speed is no picnic either.
